PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a broad electrostatic recording film having an insulating substrate and preventing the occurrence of a ghost and a zipper. SOLUTION: The electrostatic recording film has <=44 in. width and has an insulating film 1, an electrically conductive layer 2, a dielectric layer 3 containing insulating spacer particles and beltlike electrically conductive layers 4 continuously disposed at both ends of the dielectric layer 3 in the longitudinal direction. The volume resistivity of the dielectric layer 4 is >=1.0×104Ω.cm, the thickness of the layer 4 is >=3μm and the resistance between the beltlike electrically conductive layers in four sample chips cut to 10 cm length in the longitudinal direction is 2.0×107-4.0×107Ω.
