PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject material excellent in long-term thermal resistance and long-term dimensional stability and suitable for substitutes of various metallic parts including automotive parts by compounding melamine and an inorganic filler in a novolak phenol resin at a specified ratio. SOLUTION: This material is obtained by compounding (A) 100 pts.wt. novolak phenol resin, (B) 5-65 pts.wt. preferably 20-50 pts.wt. melamine, (C) 160-250 pts.wt. preferably 180-230 pts.wt. inorganic filler (preferably including at least glass fiber). It is preferable to treat the surface of the component C with a silane coupling agent such asγ-glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane,β-(3,4- epoxycyclohexyl)ethyltrimethoxysilane or the like so as to improve adhesiveness of the component A to component C.
