The paint line comprises a drive chain (2) on which a set of support mountings carrying the parts to be painted are arranged. An indexing device (D) enables the precise and reproducible positioning of a support mounting in front of a work station. The indexer comprises a stop (MB) with which a stop (6) integral with the chain engages. The engagement of the two stops is made by the stressing of a portion (2a) of the chain by using a tensioner (MT) constituted by an actuator displacing a toothed wheel (10) meshing with the chain. |
