PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit to efficiently remove dampness, odor, harmful substances or the like from an underfloor space by interposing thick plate-shaped building foundation spacers consisting of thermoplastic synthetic resin moldings containing charcoal powder with a particular weight percentage at important places between the top surface and a wooden sill of the foundation of concrete of a wooden building. SOLUTION: A charcoal powder is mixed with a thermoplastic synthetic resin material mainly containing an olefin-based synthetic resin at a proportion of 5 to 35 wt.% in total weight. And this mixture is melted and kneaded and filled in forming dies and formed and hardened under a pressure of 150 to 300 kg/cm2 from which a thick plate-shaped building foundation spacer 1 is obtained in which a pair of almost cross-shaped insertion holes 1a, 1a for anchor bolts are obtained and shallow gutters 1b.... are formed on the top surface for draining rain water and water from dew condensation, two in longitudinal direction and one in width direction. These foundation spacers 1 are placed on the top surface of concrete foundation in a wooden building at important places between the top of the concrete foundation and wooden sills.
