PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously heat by switching to a heating operation even in the case no heating by a refrigerant heater. SOLUTION: The air conditioner comprises a heat pump type refrigerating cycle having a compressor 4, a four-way valve 5, an indoor heat exchanger 2, and an expansion valve 6 annularly connected to feed refrigerant to its route, a refrigerant heater 31 for heating the refrigerant heater by using a combustor 10, a heat pump cooling or heating operation by the refrigerating cycle, solenoid valves 7, 8 for switching the cooling or heating and a combustion heating operation by the heater, and an outdoor controller 20 for switching control of the valves and drive control of the refrigerating cycle and the heater. In this case, the controller 20 forcibly stops the combustion heating if a fault of the combustor occurs when the combustion heating is made, and controls to switch to the heat pump heating operation pump. |
