PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit to reduce the excavation and backfilling to a minimum in construction work stage without being affected by the ground. SOLUTION: Foundation columns 7 made of H shape steel are built and fixed along a neighboring portion between upper and lower sites 1, 2 at adequate intervals in such a manner that recessed portions 7a sides face each other. Next, sheet piles 11 are attached to the natural ground side of neighboring foundation column bodies 7 sequentially while forming the natural ground 4, supporting column bodies 9 made of H shape steel are built and fixed at the side of lower site 2 of the foundation column bodies each of them being slightly projected out from the ground surface on the lower site 2, a strut 10 made of H shape steel slanted from the upper end portion of the supporting column body 9 to the upper end portion of the foundation column body 7 is installed, which slopes toward the side of natural ground, a formwork is installed between the neighboring foundation column bodies 7, and concrete wall 12 is formed by pouring fresh concrete in a space between the formwork and a recessed portion 7a of the foundation column body 7 and sheet pile 11. After the formation of the concrete wall, the formwork is removed and a landslide protection wall 5 is formed.
