PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably charge a small quantity of carbonaceous material in the width direction of a pallet on the upper layer part of a blended raw material layer piled the pallet. SOLUTION: In the charging method of the raw material into a sintering pallet through a chute, a long pipe 11 is set in the width direction of the pallet 6 so as to become parallel to the upper surface of the pallet 6 at the upper part of a single stage chute 12. Dried carbonaceous material containing >=50 mass % of <=1 mm grain diameter, supplied in the long pipe 11 is discharged from discharging holes opened in the axial direction of the long pipe 11 together with the blended raw material 1 supplied from a surge hopper 3 through the single stage chute 12. Sintering reaction at the upper layer part can suitably be controlled and even in the case of changing the assimilation of used ore, the sintering reaction (melting quantity) in the height direction in the blended raw material layer can be fixed. Particularly, over-melting state in the lower layer part or melting shortage state in the upper layer part when the lower layer part is made to the suitable melting state, can be avoided and the product yield is improved.
