PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a composite material comprising a textile material and a powder material, uniformly dispersible in final products, capable of controlling the arrangement of components, excellent in adhesivity notwithstanding the kinds of textile and powder and capable of obtaining reinforcement effects by their entanglement. SOLUTION: This nap-raised composite material is composed of powder retained by electrostatic charge in the fibrils 2 of fibrillated filament 1 of predetermined length and at least a part of the filaments protrudes from the surface. The composite material is manufactured by electrostatically charging the running fibrillated filaments 1, supplying powder 3 to the surfaces of the filaments to adhere the powder, cutting the filaments 1 into a predetermined length.
