PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method in which a liquid-repellent treated face is immersed especially in a dyeing liquid, in which a different is generated in the diameter of a dyeing-liquid solid body in the dry state of the dyeing liquid due to the difference in the critical surface tension of a face to be inspected and in which a liquid-repellent property is evaluated by observing the difference in which the property of a liquid-repellent film is evaluated in a liquid-repellent treatment. SOLUTION: This method discriminates the property of a liquid-repellent film in a liquid-repellent treatment. The surface tension of a dyeing liquid 4 is adjusted so as to become the surface tension between the critical surface tension on the surface of a base material to which the liquid-repellent treatment is executed and the critical surface tension on the surface of the liquid-repellent film. A liquid-repellent treated face is immersed in the dyeing liquid 4 so as to be dried. The diameter of a dyeing-liquid solid body in a dry state is measured. By referring to the map of a relationship, between the diameter of the dyeing-liquid solid body and a water contact angle, which is found in advance, a liquid-repellent property is discriminated.
