PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a light oil composition having each specific cetane number improver content, cetane index, sulfur content and dynamic viscosity, or the like thereby significantly reduced in the emission of particulates in the diesel exhaust gas over the whole engine load range when combusted. SOLUTION: This light oil composition has a cetane number improver (e.g. 2-ethylhexyl nitrate) content of >=500 ppm, cetane index of >=45, 90% distillation temperature of <=330 deg.C, sulfur content of <=500 wt.%, and dynamic viscosity at 30 deg.C of >=1.7 mm2/s. |
