发明名称 METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DETECTING DIRECTION OF GAZE
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the precise direction of gaze by correcting transition of a top fitting unit generated, when the direction of gaze is measured using a sclera reflection method. SOLUTION: An infrared LED 2, and infrared phototransistors 5 and 6 are provided on the left side from the center of a fitting unit, along with providing an infrared LED 1, and infrared phototransistors 3 and 4 on the right side from the center of the top fitting unit. Transition of the top fitting unit is detected by providing an additional infrared LED 9 and an infrared phototransistor 10 on the upper and lower sides of the top fitting unit, when the direction of gaze is detected by a sclera reflection method, and receiving and measuring by the infrared phototransistor 5 the intensity of a reflected infrared ray as against an infrared ray emitted from the infrared LED 9, caused by the reflection factor difference between the upper eyelid 11 of an eye-ball and a cornea 7.
