PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide changeability for the operating characteristics themselves by varying the area of an orifice in accordance with the load applied and establish stabilized damper characteristics. SOLUTION: A damper device is composed of a casing 1, a moving body 2 arranged inside the casing 1, a working fluid 4, a resilient body 10 furnished with an orifice 11, and a resilient body mounting part 9 where a resilient body 10 is installed, wherein the part 9 is configured so that the pressure of the working fluid 4 is applied from the front surface and side face of the resilient body 10. The resilient body 10 makes deformation in accordance with the force applied to the moving body 2, and the shape and section area of the orifice 11 vary accordingly, and it is possible to change the damper characteristics themselves in accordance with the force applied. According to this configuration, a constant pressure is applied to the resilient body 10 at all times, which allows generation of stabilized damper characteristics.
