PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-operated shutter device capable of sensing obstruction, with which attaching work for an obstruction sensing controller can be simplified. SOLUTION: In this motor-operated shutter device which can sense obstruction, an obstruction sensing switch which senses obstruction and transmits an obstruction sensing signal is provided at the lowest end of a shutter door body, it has an obstruction sensing controller 8 which stops the descending operation of the shutter door body after a standby time has elapsed by continuously receiving the obstruction sensing signal between the motor-operated closing device 6 and an operation switch 7 and starts the rising operation of the shutter door body and then stops again, and a descending limit controller L is operated during standby time from the arrival of the shutter door body to the lowest end portion, if this occurs, to the stopping of the shutter door body upon receiving the obstruction sensing signal by the obstruction sensing controller 8.
