PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration damper delaying no construction work of a building. SOLUTION: The floor 33A of a housing chamber 33 installed to an upper section on the inside of a car port unit 30 is formed in a rocking floor 40 rockable in the horizontal direction as the vibration damper damping vibrations in the horizontal direction of a unit type building 10. The rocking floor 40 is hung down from a supporting member bridged over a ceiling beam 31B through a suspending member 50. Even when the building 10 is quaked in the horizontal direction by an earthquake or the like, the weight of the rocking floor 40 and the weight of articled placed on the rocking floor 40 function as counterweights damping the vibrations of the building 10, and the rocking floor 40 is rocked in a fixed number of frequency lower than vibrations applied to the building 10. Accordingly, the quakes of the building 10 can be damped, and the construction works of the building 10 can be made faster than conventional devices.
