PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic-coated steel sheet capable of giving excellent corrosion resistance and most suitably used for automobile use, household electrical appliance use, building material use or the like. SOLUTION: A chromate film having (1 to 1,000) mg/m2 chromium coating weight expressed in terms of metal chromium is formed on the surface of a galvanized steel sheet or an aluminum coated steel sheet. Further, an organic film of 0.1-5μm film thickness, containing ion exchange silica (a) in an amount of 1-100 pts.wt. (solid content) based on 100 pts.wt. (solid content) of film forming organic resin (A) is formed on the above chromate film.
