PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To readily discriminate between students who answered correctly through understanding the contents and those who answered correctly but by chance on an selective question. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a question information database 101 for storing question information, consisting of a question sentence and its correct answer and a next question ID to be set, an explanatory information database 102 for storing explanatory information to the answer, a study state database 103 for storing a correcting history for plural times in the past, an input judging means 105 for deciding the answer based on the correction history, an explanation decision means 106 for displaying the explanation to the answer based on the result of the judgment for the answer, and a question decision means 107 for deciding the next question to be set, based on the judgment result for the answer. Thus, it is possible to selectively set the next question for a student who correctly answered by understanding the contents and that for a student who answered correctly but by chance.
