PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera capable of appropriately illuminating a subject, even at short-distance photographing. SOLUTION: A camera main body is provided with an illumination means 2A. The illumination means 2A is provided with a shaft 15, a strobe light emitting part 3 for emitting strobe light, a 1st irradiation window 4, a casing 6, an optical fiber 7 and a 2nd irradiation window 5. The part 3 can be turned interlocked with a mode possessed by the camera. The optical path of the strobe light from the part 3 communicates with the window 4 when the camera is set to an ordinary photographing mode, and it communicates with the window 5 when the camera is set to the short distance photographing mode. The strobe light is guided to the window 5 through the optical fiber 7 with which the casing 6 is filled.
