<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for display which can enlarge a character image without varying the magnification of the whole display. SOLUTION: When the origin of a text 52b is present in a retrieval range 54 in the periphery of a mouse pointer 53, characters 'TEXT52' in the text 52b are enlarged and displayed as shown by 55. In this case, this enlargement display is made not by enlarging only the image in the retrieval range 54 on a loupe system, but by enlarging the whole characters of the text 52b whose origin is in the retrieval range 54. Therefore, even if all the characters are not put in the retrieval range 54, all the characters can be enlarged and displayed and only the text information is enlarged without including graphic data, so the display data are made less than usual. The enlargement display is made as to one text closest to the mouse pointer 53.</p> |
