<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save energy by the use of a developer whose fusing point and softening point are made low and to maintain a satisfactory image for a long time, by transmitting the heat of a developer carrier to a latent image-carrier via the part where the developer carrier abuts on the latent image carrier. SOLUTION: A photoreceptor drum 101 is disposed abutting on a developing roller 1. Under the action of a development electric field generated between the photoreceptor drum 101 and the developing roller 1, developer spread over the surface of the developing roller 1 is transferred to an electrostatic latent image held on the photoreceptor drum 101, thereby developing the image. The photoreceptor drum 101 is given large heat capacity so that the photoreceptor drum 101 itself does not increase in temperature due to a quantity of heat transmitted from the developing roller 1. By an increase in the temperature of the photoreceptor drum 101 due to heat from the developing roller 1, a temperature difference between them becomes small, and a decrease in the quantity of heat flowing into the photoreceptor drum 101 is restricted, which therefore stabilizes the transfer of heat from the developing roller 1 and enables sufficient heat movement.</p> |
