PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color developing composition which is stable and deposit little at the time of development and especially improved in yellow dye concentration. SOLUTION: The photographic color developing composition comprises (a) a color developing agent in an amount of at least 0.005 mol/l, (b) an organic antioxidant in an amount of at least 0.005 mol/l, and (c) a polyamino- polyphosphonic acid calcium ion sequestering agent having at least 4 phosphono groups in an amount of at least 0.0005 mol/l, and the composition has the sum of lithium and magnesium concentrations of <0.0001 mol/l.
