PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antifouling member excellent in impact resistance and durability and capable of maintaining initial characteristics for a long period of time by forming a composite plating film containing a photocatalytic oxide particulate on a substrate. SOLUTION: This antifouling member comprises a substrate and a composite plated film formed thereon, which has a thickness of 1-50μm and comprises 10-60 vol.% of the total of a photocatalytic oxide particulate having an average particle size of 2μm or less and a fluorine compound particulate and a metal constituting a matrix selected from among nickel, silver, copper, zinc and the like. The photocatalytic oxide particulate is selected from among titanium oxide, zinc oxide, copper oxide, tin oxide, silver oxide, iron oxide, manganese oxide, niobium oxide and the like. The fluorine compound particulate is a polytetrafluoroethylene, a tetrafluoroethylene-hexafluoropropylene copolymer or the like. The composite plated film is obtained by dispersing 500 g/l or less of the photocatalytic oxide particulate or the like and 1-500 mg, based on 1 g of the oxide particulate, of a surfactant in a plating solution and coating it on a substrate followed by heat treatment at 150-380 deg.C.
