The specification describes an immunogenic complex, characterised in that it contains at least one oligo- or polysaccharide epitope naturally present in bacteria, coupled with a carrier protein. The carrier protein comprises at least a fragment of an OmpA-type outer membrane protein of a gram-negative bacterium capable of enhancing the immunogenicity of the oligo-or polysaccharide epitope.
