The support consists of a fixed section which comprises a base body (4) and a base plate (5), and a moveable section which is provided with a threaded rod (6) which is connected to the fixed section y a rotatable nut (8) so that the moveable section moves on rotation of the nut. A V-shaped or L-shaped support (7) is connected to a free end of the threaded rod in such a way that an edge of the brake lever can be clamped or hled in a secure manner.
