<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peripheral equipment connector for preventing any malfunction caused at the time of connecting peripheral equipment with a computer. SOLUTION: A field effect transistor 12 which controls the power source supply operation to a peripheral equipment 9 connected with a main body, and whose operation is controlled by a control circuit 5 integrated into the computer and a detecting means for detecting the connection of the peripheral equipment 9 are provided in the control circuit. When the peripheral equipment 9 is connected in the operating state of the computer, the clock of a system provided in the computer is stopped, and the power supply operation to the peripheral equipment 9 is operated by the switching of the field effect transistor 12, and when the supply voltage to the peripheral equipment 9 is increased to a prescribed level, the clock is made to operate.</p> |
