DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING PRESENCE OF BODY IN CONTAINER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the presence of a body in a container with a simple mechanism. SOLUTION: A light transmitting window 10 is provided in a wall of a container 1 capable of storing a body. A light beam is made to get incident into the container 1 through the window 10 using a light emitting means. When the beam is emitted to the outside of the container 1 through an optical path, a detecting means detects the beam emitted to the outside of the container 1. An emitted condition of the beam emitted to the outside of the container 1 is changed in response to the presence of the body to determine the presence of the body.
