The reflecting material consists of strips (1) of an aluminum film-based material with a plain or colored protective coating, connected by lengths of a knitted mesh (2) through which the reflective strips are threaded. The mesh is made on a knitting machine with front weft insertion and has three layers of warp yarns in the form of synthetic monofilaments.
