PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that the battery usable time is too short at the time of driving a battery, and to attain power saving without damaging operability in a portable information processor having an inputting part such as a keyboard. SOLUTION: A first processing block 1 connected with an information input block 97 including a keyboard 201 is connected with a second processing block 98 with which a display part having a memory effect is connected. The first processing block 1 starts the second processing block 98 in a stopped state according to the input of a keyboard or the like, and changes the display of the display part, and then stops the power supply or operation of both of them. At that time, the display of the display part can be held according to the memory effect. Thus, power consumption can be sharply reduced without damaging the display characteristics of the display part in this information processor.
