INCINERATOR AND METHOD FOR PREVENTING GENERATION OF DIOXINS THEREFROM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of dioxins by controlling the temperature of combustion gas produced through incineration of city refuse. SOLUTION: Combustion gas produced from an incinerator by incinerating refuse is delivered to a stationary in-tube mixer 1 and introduced to a column filled with an alkaline metal or alkaline earth metal compound before being cooled down to a low temperature. Overall temperature of the combustion gas passed through the stationary in-tube mixer 1 is settled uniformly at a level of 650 deg.C or above.
