SOLUTION: This device is provided with a blade member 8a for removing developer on the image carrier while abutting on a turnable image carrier 1, and the shape coefficient SF1 of the developer removed by the member 8a is 100 to 150, and the shape coefficient SF2 is 100 to 140. In this case, the member 8a is an elastic body having a value indicating 200 kgf/cm2 or higher or being ruptured in a tensile stress test at the time of 300% elongation.
