PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce dead space due to a battery housing chamber in a battery- used apparatus, such as a camera whose exterior is made of a thin material like a metal. SOLUTION: This battery housing chamber 11 is designed such that a battery 13 can be stored in a manner inclined at a specific angle, so that the depth side of the chamber 11 is made closer to an exterior 17 than an insertion port side 21. Consequently, a wasted space can be reduced as compared to the case where the battery 13 is housed in parallel to the exterior 17, thereby improving the availability the space inside the apparatus.
