PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a gear squeal in shift operation of a synchronous engaging forward-reverse switching device and allow smooth switching and miniaturize a continuously variable transmission. SOLUTION: A wet clutch part 5 is intervened in a forward-reverse switching device 17 on its input side. The synchronous engaging forward-reverse switching device 17 performs switching operation. Where, the wet clutch part 5 is released to interrupt driving force from an engine. This allow smooth switching operation. The use of the synchronous engaging forward-reverse switching device 17, the wet clutch part 5, and a fluid transmission device 2 miniaturizes a continuously variable transmission.
