PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a curing epoxy resin composition which gives a cured product which has excellent heat resistance, electric properties, and weatherability by curing it with heat or active energy ray, and is useful as coating material, printing ink, sealing material, resist ink, adhesive, molding material, casting material, and other electric insulating materials. SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by incorporating (a) 90 pts.wt. of a hydrogenated epoxy resin obtained by hydrogenating an aromatic epoxy resin, (b) 10-90 pts.wt. of a alicyclic epoxy resin obtained by epoxydizing a cyloolefin, and (c) 0.01-200 pt(s).wt. of a curing agent for an epoxy resin selected from a group consisting of an acid anhydride and a cationic initiator which generates a cationic species or Lewis acid by heat or active energy beam.
