PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for displaying an external shape of ship for clarifying the relative positional relation of a breakwater and a pier or the like with a ship. SOLUTION: Differential GPS receivers 2 and 3 are respectively arranged at the bow and stern of a ship 1, and ship length 4 and traveling azimuth 5 are calculated from measurement by the differential GPS receivers 2 and 3. Then, the ship width is estimated from the ship length 4, and the external shape of the ship is estimated from the ship length 4 and the ship width, and the estimated external shape of the ship is superimposedly displayed on the position and traveling azimuth 5 of the ship 1 on a chart display by the same scale as a chart display scale in a chart display device. |
