PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin composition having excellent smoothness and hiding property, etc., giving a molded article having improved state by improving the high-speed high-temperature processability and having high content of metal oxide by compounding a thermoplastic resin with a metal oxide having specified specific surface area and pore radius. SOLUTION: The objective composition contains (A) a metal oxide at least having a specific surface area of 1-50 m2/g and a pore radius of 50-150Åand (B) a thermoplastic resin. The component A is preferably titanium dioxide, ultramarine blue, yellow iron oxide, etc., from the viewpoints of color, weather resistance, etc. The component A is preferably surface-treated with a silicone oil or a silane coupling agent. The addition amount of the surface-treating agent is 0.01-10 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the component A. The component B is preferably a polyolefin. The objective composition wherein the component A is titanium dioxide and the component B is a polyolefin is preferably formed by melting and kneading both components at 180 deg.C and pelletizing the mixture.
