PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute a linear pattern by simple labor without machining wall surface itself in an uneven manner by sticking a linear member such as a tape member, a sheet member or the like onto the wall surface of a smoothly formed block for a retaining wall. SOLUTION: Linear patterns are formed by sticking linear members such as tape members 20, 20, linear sheet members or the like onto the wall surface 12 of the smoothly formed blocks 1 for the retaining wall. Consequently, the linear patterns can be executed to wall surface itself without machining in an uneven manner. A plurality of partitioned surfaces 3, 3 are formed onto the wall surface 12 by the linear members 20, and these partitioned surfaces 3 are formed by one kind or two kinds or more selected from dirt-inhibiting texture partitioned surfaces 3a,..., texture partitioned surfaces 3b..., coated partitioned surfaces, colored partitioned surfaces, chipped partitioned surfaces and polished partitioned surfaces. Accordingly, a design can be displayed by various patterns.
