PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a linear compressor, an operation control method therefor, and its automatic deviation correction device. SOLUTION: This control device is constituted of a cooling mode decider 37 deciding a cooling mode based on temperature information and outputting it, a sensorless stroke estimator 32 estimating a stroke value and current information upon receiving stroke voltages V0 to V3, an instable monitor 36 minitoring and outputting presence and absence of instability by the use of the stroke value and the current information, a stroke command value decider 31 deciding a stroke command value from the monitoring information and the cooling mode, a stroke controller controlling so that the stroke is satisfactorily estimated by the stroke command value and outputs a timer command, a zero-cross detector 34 outputting zero-cross signal, and a timer 35 providing a gate driving signal when the zero-cross signal is outputted.
