PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circular knitting machine having a simple structure, enabling the uniform inversion of a yarn without relating to the kind of the yarn to be used and the kind of produced knit wear and without requiring a useless adjusting operation. SOLUTION: This circularly knitting machine is used for producing a knit wear formed of at least a yarn and a yarn tuft tied in the yarn. Therein, an air guide unit 45 for blowing air for inverting the yarn tuft has a free space (empty space) 69 placed on the front surface side 55 of a knitting needle 2 and on a sinker 16. When viewed from the rotation direction of a needle cylinder 1, the free space is spread from a loop-forming point for starting the upward movement of the knitting needle 2 to a place near to the upper edge 70 of the sinker 16 along the preliminarily selected portion of a passage for the subsequent upward movement in the direction parallel to a rotation shaft.
