PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic device, in which it is possible to excellently inject electric charge to the surface of an electrophotographic sensitive body in order to electrify and by which a markedly high quality image free from the defects caused by the change injection performance of the photosensitive body surface such as a positive ghost, or a black line on a halftone image, is obtained. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic device has an electrophotographic sensitive body, electrifying means which are arranged so as to contact with the electrophotographic sensitive body and electrify the electrophotographic sensitive body by impressing a voltage to a flexible electrifying member which constitutes a nip part together with the electrophotographic sensitive body, exposing means, developing means and transfer means. In this case, the surface layer of the electrophotographic sensitive body contains a charge transporting material having an oxidative potential of 0.4-1.0 (V). Further, the injection of charge to the electrophotographic sensitive body is carried out while interposing electroconductive electrification accelerating particles at the nip part between the electrifying member and the electrophotographic sensitive body.
