PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a gasoline composition for direct injection into a cylinder type gasoline engine, excellent in cleaning property in its cavity by containing a polybutenylamine-based compound. SOLUTION: This gasoline composition for direct injection into a cylinder type gasoline engine is obtained by containing a polybutenylamine-based compound such as of formula III and expressed by formula I [A is n-butyl, sec-butyl or tert-butyl; R1 to R4 are each H, methyl or ethyl; B is formula II or the like; R5, R6 are each H, a 1-10C hydrocarbon or the like; (m) is 1-100] in preferably 0.015-3 mass% (based on the total amount of the gasoline composition).
