At this time, the polymerizer is previously filled with a powder, the powder is kept in the fluid state and the starting substance of trioxane or a mixture thereof with copolymerizable cyclic ethers or cyclic formals are fed continuously or intermittently together with a cationic catalyst into the polymerizer. During the polymerization, a saturated hydrocarbon of 3-6 carbon atoms is fed into the polymerizer 1 and a part of the hydrocarbon is evaporated to control the temperature in the polymerizer 1 to produce the objective trioxane polymer or trioxane copolymer.
