PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telescope equipped with a lens cap which has no possibility of being lost and does not become a hindrance while the telescope is used. SOLUTION: A pair of binoculars 10 has a pair of lens barrels 12 coupled by a main body (bridge) 14. The lens barrel 12 holds an objective lens 18 and an ocular, A pair of rotary shafts 22 is provided at the top of the lens barrel 12. A lens cap 30 is attached to a pair of rotary shafts 22. The lens cap 30 has a circular cap main body part 32 and a pair of flexible elastic parts 34 extended from both ends of the diameter of the main body part 32 in a surface direction. A hole 36 is formed on the elastic part 34, and the rotary shaft 22 is made to pass through the hole 36, whereby the lens cap 30 is attached to the lens barrel 12. The main body part 32 of the lens cap 30 is maintained in a state where it is brought into tight-contact with the end face of the lens barrel 12 at a lens protecting position and comes in contact with the side surface of the lens barrel 12 at an opening position.
