PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for tripod securing part capable of dealing with the miniaturization of a camera. SOLUTION: A T-shaped tripoid fixing grooves 3, 4 originating at the corner 2c of the body 2 of a camera 1 are provided on the lower face 2a and its continuous side face 2b of the body 2, and at the same time, on the leg 6 of a tripod 5, an attachment 8 is installed which is provided with a T-shaped engaging part 10 that fits to each of the tripod securing grooves 3, 4 of the body 2 of the camera 1. The tripod 5 can be secured on the camera body 2 by fitting the engaging part 10 of the attachment 8 of the tripod 5 to the securing grooves 3, 4 on a lower face 2a or a side face 2b of the body 2. When the tripod securing groove 3 on the lower face 2a is used, photographing is made possible at a horizontal position, and when the securing groove 4 on the side face 2b is used, photographing is possible at a vertical position.
