摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the powder flow rate measuring precision by measuring the bulk density of the powder and the phase change of a microwave to set relevant coefficients between both. SOLUTION: A measuring data processor system 15 fetches output signals from waveguides 11a-11c when no ash falls in a measuring unit 81 and a lower part 82 and measures with the phases of these signals set as reference phases. After this measurement, ash in an ash reservoir 6 is charged in the measuring unit 81, the processor system 15 fetches the output signal from the waveguide 11a, measures its phase, calculates the difference between this phase and the reference phase as a phase change due to the ash charging, calculates a proportional const. k of a specified equation to obtain the bulk density of the ash, based on the phase change, the inner vol. of the measuring unit 81 and the weight of the ash, then fetches output signals from the waveguides 11b, 11c with ash being carried on a discharge vehicle 9, and calculates the phase changes in the waveguides 11b, 11c, based on the phases of these signals. The processor system 15 processes these phase changes by the arithmetic technique using cross correlation functions, etc., and calculates the falling rate, the instantaneous flow rate and the cumulative flow rate of the ash, based on specified equations.
