摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject derivative comprising specific constituent unit as principal constituents, having optical activity, enabling asymmetric recognition and technical development is expected as a new functional polymer, useful for capacitor or the like. SOLUTION: This derivative comprises constituent expressed by formula I (m or n are each manifesting molar ratio of each unit and m+n=100, and the units m and n are randomly bonding in the ratio), as the principal constituent. The prescribed derivative is preferably obtained by hydrolyzing the side chain of the optically active polythiophene derivative having constituent unit expressed by formula II as the principal constituents, for example, by trifluoroacetic acid, mineral acid or the like, and successively alkaline hydrolyzing, for example, by sodium hydroxide or the like, at 40 to 80 deg.C.
