PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyurethane material capable of being treated in a thermoplastic state by casting a prepolymer having NCO end group together with butanediol to form a casting composition, by extruding the composition to form a strand made of a polyurethane elastomer and by pelletizing it to be processed. SOLUTION: This polyurethane material capable of being treated in a thermoplastic state is obtained by casting a prepolymer having NCO end group together with 1,4-butanediol to form a casting composition, by extruding the composition to form at least one strand made of a polyurethane elastomer and by pelletizing it to form at least one pellet, followed by processing it to obtain a thermoplastic polyurethane product.
