摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a small diameter and a light weight of a whole, to enhance a loadability to a vehicle and to realize a low cost by constituting a shock absorber to a single cylinder having a reservoir in the cylinder, connecting the cylinder to a chassis side member and connecting a piston rod to an axle side member. SOLUTION: A shock absorber body is constituted to a single cylinder by disposing a reservoir R in a cylinder 1 and the cylinder 1 is made to a chassis side member for connecting to a chassis side and the piston rod 2 is made to an axle side member for connecting to an axle side. When the piston rod 2 is raised and sunk against the cylinder 1 so as to extend and shrink a suspension spring 3, each damping force is generated in both extension/shrinkage side damping valves 21a, 12a. Accordingly, since the reservoir R is not disposed on an outer periphery of the cylinder 1, the shock absorber body can be made to a small diameter. By constituting the shock absorber to a standing type, an opportunity when a hydraulic cylinder mechanism 4 is covered with a dirt at a loading state can be reduced and an operability and a durability can be enhanced.
