PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image signal discrimination changeover circuit and a liquid crystal display device capable of displaying image signals in various forms without compelling a worker to do a troublesome work. SOLUTION: This circuit is equipped with an information processing device connector 16 for inputting a signal outputted from an information processing device, an image instrument connector 10 for inputting an image signal outputted from an image instrument, a frequency discrimination circuit 18 for detecting from which of the information processing device connector 16 and the image instrument connector 10 the signal is inputted, and a selector 20 for selecting and outputting the image signal inputted from the information processing device connector 16 or the image instrument connector 10 corresponding to the inspection result of the frequency discrimination circuit 18.
