摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid crystal light modulation device which can uniformly control a gap between substrates, display images with high quality and simply and efficiently enclose a liquid crystal composition between substrates, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device 20 comprises electrodes 22a, 22b, insulating films 23a, 23b and alignment films 24a, 24b provided on substrates 21a, 21b and spacers 25, resinous structures 27 and liquid crystal compositions 28 held between the substrates 21a, 21b. The resinous structures 27 are composed of a polymer material having a curable resin material as a main component and being thermoplastic after curing.
