REPAIR COVER FOR PIPE BODY AND REPAIRING METHOD FOR PIPE BODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply repair the defective portion of a pipe body such as a gas pipe and the like, let a defective pipe be not always replaced, and cope with repairing works with operators lessened in number. SOLUTION: A repair cover C for a pipe body is equipped with a cover main body 1. The cover main body 1 is formed out of elastic synthetic resin. The cover main body 1 is in a shape that a part of the circumferential wall part of its cylindrical body is cut out in the longer direction, and its cut-out part is made a mounting opening 10. The opening width of the mounting opening 10 is so set as to be smaller than the diameter of a pipe body to be used for all kinds of air feeding pipes and fluid feeding pipes subject to mounting. The almost all over the inner surface part of the cover main body 1 is coated with putty having air and liquid tightness, up to a specified thickness. The inner diameter of putty is so set as to be somewhat smaller than that of the pipe body in such a way as to be closely adhered sufficiently to the surface of the pipe body when the cover main body is mounted to the pipe body. A releasing sheet 3 is attached to the surface of putty.
