<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a torque sensor capable of detecting the layer short- circuiting of a torque detection coil. SOLUTION: A torque sensor is provided with two torque detection coils 100 and 200, a DC cut circuit 105 takes out the AC component of the torque detection coil 100, a detection circuit 106 detects the amplitude of the AC component being taken out at the same time outputs a signal with the amplitude to an adder circuit 109 as a detection signal, and the signal that is outputted from the adder circuit 109 is amplified by a variable gain amplification circuit 112 and is inputted to a microcomputer 31 as a torque signal 1. Similarly, a torque signal 2 that is detected by the torque detection coil 200 is inputted to the microcomputer 31. Then, the microcomputer 31 detects the level difference between the torque signals 1 and 2 and judges that the layer short-circuiting of at least one torque detection coil has occurred when the level difference exceeds a threshold value.</p> |
